- Smulders Projects B.V., subsidiary of Smulders Group, is an international organisation established in Helmond (NL). Within the division Wind turbine constructions, Smulders Projects is responsible for the project management and engineering of on- and offshore wind turbine projects.
- Job profile:
The Commercial Engineer is employed to offer quotations for offshore wind projects. Requests vary from brief requests to complete European tenders. In the tendering process, the request of our customers must be both technically and commercially evaluated. This brings the Commercial Engineer in contact with the various disciplines within the organisation. In addition, the cost estimate must be made. For this purpose the Commercial Engineer collects data from suppliers and uses information from costings. The Commercial Engineer works through the entire bid so that it can be sent to the customer. After some time, with proven suitability and interest the Commercial Engineer can also take part in meetings with the customer regarding the quotations.
- Job requirements:
- Completed Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technical Business Studies
- Affinity with industrial projects and heavy steel projects and/or offshore constructions
- Knowledge of calculation methods in steel construction (especially welding processes)
- Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of Dutch and English
- At least basic knowledge of German language
